what % to charge local shop
wondering what % markup to charge a local shop when they buy parts...they are at 15% right now and still shop us...we are not making any money on them so I am thinking of moving them up to 30%.

you talking cost + ?
15% over cost is way too low. Our best customers that buy everything from us get cost +20. Everyone else gets MSRP - 20% with a few in between those 2 figures. |

Really need to do an expense calculation, and find out what your average break-even point is. I'm betting you'll find it to be about 21% or just slightly higher - which means anything you sell under that percentage is costing you money. UNLESS you're buying enough from GM to get a volume rebate.
