Default Business Listings on BizBuySell.com

I'm just curious to see if any of our members occasionally search Business Listings on BizBuySell.com?

For those who are not aware, BizBuySell.com is a website where both business owners and brokers list companies that are available for purchase.

Over the years I've enjoyed surfing the site and seeing what companies are for sale near the area I live or in the Lake Havasu area since I enjoy hanging out there. I also have found the types of businesses listed, their valuation, profits and Blue Sky multiples to be very interesting.

If you have a few minutes while you're surfing the Internet you might want to click the link above and then click the "Buy a Business" link on the Home Page and do a search for your State/County. You might be surprised by what you discover...

Just did it. Interesting. I must say there was not one there that I would not have expected to be there, but I am not saying I am clairvoyant and knew they were for sale.

Default 'The Myth Behind Multiple of Earnings'

Since the topic of 'multiple of earnings' is of a great interest to me, I thought I would share my opinion with a link to a published article of mine in the Automotive News from November 27, 2017:

On a personal note to all the readers: We have just celebrated Thanksgiving Holiday. I hope you all had a chance to celebrate with your loved ones. Life can be very trying at times and Thanksgiving is a special day to pause and reflect on how lucky and blessed we are. Best wishes to you all.

A thought to reflect on, a quote from Mr. Purkiser, an author and a scholar, about Thanksgiving: “Not what we say about our blessings, but how we use them, is the true measure of our thanksgiving.

Wonderful quote by Mr. Purkiser. Very true.

Thank you for your support of "The Forum".

Its be quite quiet lately. I hope many of the longer term members have not given up. Many were around for the bloodbath of the closures in '09. So with close to a decade having passed most have moved on and there is some of us that can't. I just miss hearing from some of those guys.
