Default Ford explores sale of their Volvo Division

Despite statements to the contrary as recently as a month ago, Ford has indicated that they're exploring the possible sale of their Volvo Division.

Here's a link to the news report: http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/...1_FORTUNE5.htm

Ford purchased the Volvo Division in 1999 for about $6.5 Billion - experts indicate that they would be lucky to get $2 Billion for the division today. Making a bad situation worse, Volvo has been losing money - over $458 Million in the most recent quarter.

The most obvious buyer, Volvo's Truck Unit, has indicated that they have no interest in re-purchasing the Volvo Automobile Division from Ford.
