Default Self cashiering?

My dealership decided to eliminate the cashier and go to self cashiering, all in 1 day. Nothing set up, no training on how to do anything and no procedures set up. How many of you all do this and how do you do it?

I am not really sure what you mean. Self cashiering like at the grocery store where the customer cashiers themselves?

At our store we have a cashier for our Express Lane and parts counter sales, but the service advisors all cashier their own customers. We set up a credit card terminal for them and give them a small cash box with $100 in change in it each morning. This way we no longer have the cashier being asked all the questions the customer ask about the repairs. It has worked out great and the customers prefer to speak with the service advisor rather than the cashier about the work performed.
