SRT sells the first 2013 Viper at Barrett-Jackson for $300,000

Chrysler's SRT brand sold the first 2013 Viper for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson auto auction in Orange County. Here's a link to a news report with more information - click here

The $300,000 in proceeds were donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation, which helps families and children affected by pediatric cancer.

When I was at the Barrett-Jackson auction in OC last Friday I thought it was interesting to see that the SRT Brand had their own tent and they had most of the current SRT vehicles on display.

In fact, I thought it was so interesting that I took a picture:

In the past, GM and Ford were the only OEMs who paid to have a presence at Barrett-Jackson. For the Orange County auction, however, I noticed that both Chrysler's SRT Brand and Toyota's Prius Brand had a presence too.

Concerning the SRT display, I thought it was odd that they didn't have the 2013 Viper on display since it was going to be sold on Sunday. In fact, I didn't even know the 2013 SRT Viper was sold at Barrett-Jackson until I read about it on the Internet.
