First thread with 1,000 page views
Well it took over a year, but DealershipForum.com finally has a thread that's exceeded 1,000 page views.
Surprisingly, it has absolutely nothing to do with the car business. The thread is one I started when a chain of Seattle based boat dealerships filed for bankruptcy. I started the thread because the bankruptcy filing illustrated that the combination of high fuel prices, inflation and concerns about the economy were impacting businesses outside of the auto industry. Why did it get so many page views? Google. Google scans this site on a daily basis. They picked up the thread and cataloged it in their search database. Now, whenever someone does a Google Search for "Olympic Boat Centers" they get a link to this site as one of their search results. The conclusion - never underestimate Google's ability to drive traffic to your website. |
