Hey ssdd- any wagers on the game Saturday? I'm a die-hard Griz fan and am supposed to be on my way to TN right now. Unfortunately I gave up my tickets for a family reunion here in MT. GO GRIZ!

I am hoping we run you guys out of the stadium... but, we are young and you guys have some talent. I think the heat and humidity will play a big factor in the game. I say it will be closer than the vol fans will like at the half, but in the second half VOLS will light it up...

shame you aren't going I have season tickets and Neyland was just ranked as the number one stadium... it is an awesome place and when 100k are yelling it's pretty freaking loud too...

I hang out on the volnation message boards too and there are quite a few griz fans on there talking some pretty bis $hit if you know what I mean...

One of the main reasons for going was to watch a game in your stadium, it's definitely something I'd like to experience. You guts put more people in your stadium for one football game than the population of our largest city!

I don't think we have a chance of winning, but stranger things have happened. I'm just hoping we make a good showing and don't get blown out!

Unfortunately we have obnoxious fans just like everyone else. I got a kick out of some of those posts though- from both sides!

If they play again, I'll be sure to make the trip.

GO GRIZ!

I am planning on going to the Oregon/UT game next year so some of the west coast guys are going to have to hook a brother up!

if we had got together, I could have shown you the ropes at Neyland, where to watch the grizzles walk in to the stadium, the vol walk, the band marching in, where to eat, the whole nine yards... plus I have two parking passes!

There’s something special about Saturdays — every one of them. It’s the day of the week where you have the opportunity to be the you you’ve always wanted to be. You get to do what you like, when you like, how you like, where you like — or not at all — it’s up to you. That’s Saturday. But there’s something different, a lot different, about a Fall Saturday in East Tennessee. We all feel it, yet we can’t describe it to those who ask. We see it, we smell it, and we hear it. We touch it. We live it. And those people who don’t know keep asking, “What is it?”

It’s burgers on the grill and slaw in your stomach.

It’s a tap of your beer with your buddy’s beer when you agree with him.

It’s when leaves start changing to hues of red, orange, yellow.

It’s sundresses and cowgirl boots.

It’s checkerboards.

It’s 100,000 of your best friends.

It’s “We urge you to pay these prices, and please pay no more.”

It’s a Navy on the Tennessee River.

It’s Mose Phillips … in the downpour.

It’s the Pride of the Southland. It’s the Salute to the Hill.

It’s a place where corn don’t grow.

The dirt’s too rocky, by far.

It’s the Miracle at South Bend.

It’s the fumble that changed everything. It’s Travis Henry about 15 times in a row.

It’s Tony Robinson, Andy Kelly, Condredge Holloway.

It’s a bluetick hound that doesn’t care for crimson.

It’s “Touchdown Tennessee” and “Give Him Six”.

It’s the best bootleg Tuscaloosa ever saw. Or didn’t see.

It’s Johnnie Jones, Doug Atkins, Reggie White.

It’s the 1986 Sugar Bowl.

It’s the 1998 Fiesta Bowl.

It’s “Rocky Top.” And it never gets old.

It’s Doug Dickey, Johnny Majors, Phil Fulmer, Robert Neyland, and Derek Dooley.

It’s not Lane Kiffin.

It’s your granddaddy, it’s your Dad, it’s your momma, it’s your family.

It’s me.

It’s you.

It’s here.

I think that's kind of cool. It would definitely be a shock to see that many people in one place after spending time in the wide open spaces.

We'll have to recruit some new Lithia guys to the forum - they have a big dealership presence in the Eugene area.

Here's a bigger picture of Neyland stadium:

I like that the stadium is near the water and fans can take their boat to the game. That's been a tradition at Husky stadium for generations.

Unfortunately, they are all afraid of saying anything about anything in public, for fear of reparations.

So you guys aren't over that yet.........?

I tried to find the video CL posted of the Titan fan who destroyed everything he owned that had any mention of Kiffin - it was a classic.

Yeah, that's too bad. I think it's probably the same at all of the public dealer groups.

Concerning ssdd, I'll have to figure out some way to make sure he's taken care of when he makes his trip to the West Coast. I used to live in Eugene for a short time but haven't been back there for years.

I hope you're there right now enjoying a nice pre-game tailgating session.

Kick-off is less than two hours away.

Just programmed the Tivo to record the LSU-Oregon game - I'm looking forward to watching that match-up tonight.
