Default California pushes for tougher Emissions Regulations

It seems that there's a great deal of political pressure in California to force the E.P.A. to allow the state to adopt tougher emissions laws.

The Auto Manufacturers contend that only the Federal Government should have the ability to set emissions laws. The E.P.A. needs to grant California a waiver to set their own standards and has been unwilling to do so up to this point.

Have the California Dealer Associations taken a position on this debate, or are they watching from the sidelines?
