Default A Jeep on a Fiat chassis built in Italy.

Is this on the 500 chassis? I guess were not in Kansas anymore, ToTo.

Facepalm? Compared to their recent offerings, this is a breath of fresh air.

They've neutered the Wrangler with the V6 and gigantic proportions. Soon to lose its solid front axle too.

The Grand Cherokee/Durango... unremarkable. Rebadged Durango

The Patriot is a joke. Nothing that a Jeep stands for & much better choices in that segment.

The new Cherokee is hideious. Again much better choices in the segment.

I predict the new Renegade will be a hit...

My point exactly......Jeep continues to evolve away from what it has been!

Built out of country on a car chassis. PLEASE. This is not a Jeep, its a sheep in wolves clothing. Just another reason for old school Jeep guys to scoff the brand.

I understand the need to expand sales but just not sure about this direction.

If I had to predict I will say OK sales to start then falling off quickly......like most new offerings these days.

The Italians don't have much experience with rugged utility vehicles it seems.

Funny how the last generation of jeep (98-06) don't seem to depreciate.

When a customer shows up wanting to trade in a patriot or compass... good chance they have 5-10 grand in negative equity we'll have to deal with.

If their goal is to capture the market segment of the original small Cherokee (I'm talking XJ which prices have exploded on in the last few years) and Grand Cherokee, this certainly fits the bill.

The original Grand Cherokee was a stylish and affordable city truck. It retired the Grand Wagoneer which was mostly the same in 1991 as it was in 1961. The Grand Cherokee brought a modern, comfortable drive and was less off road focused. It's was their biggest hit since the CJ.

The Grand Cherokee they have now is overpriced and oversized to capture that original segment. The first generation Liberty sold very well in this segment despite its issues and shortcomings. The Renegade is ready to fill the void.
