Massachusetts dealership turns to Nebraska for car titles
I thought it was interesting that a Dealer in Massachusetts has discovered that he/she can save $65/vehicle by using the State of Nebraska to title their Canadian imports as opposed to their home state. For the full story - click here
Now you might be thinking, how could it possibly be worth the hassle of sending paperwork/documentation all the way to Nebraska if the savings is only $65/vehicle? The answer would be that the dealership has processed almost 3,000 titles in the past seven months - that's a savings of $195,000. I know that I'd be willing to jump through a few hoops to save $195K - it also seems to bolster our conversations about the opportunities that are now available in Canada largely due to the falling Canadian dollar. |
