Smile College Football is back.....

As much as I hate to see summer fade away, I always like to see the return of College Football.

I was watching the Boise State/Oregon game last night and was happy to see Boise State win. It seemed ironic that the first game to use the NCAA's new policy where the team leaders start the game with a hand shake ended with a fight. So much for sportsmanship.

My UW Huskies play LSU this Saturday and hope springs eternal in Seattle.

he got a clean shot, pretty much a sucker punch imo...

he should get a fat suspension for that...

I totally agree. The NCAA should make an example with a long suspension and set the tone for the rest of the year.

What was Blount thinking? He sucker punches an opponent on National TV with the Oregon's A.D. and the PAC-10 Commissioner in the stadium. Hell, even Nike's Phil Knight was there.

Norte Dame plays Nevada tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it and a better season than last.

Of course, I had to root for Oregon and then cover my head in a paper back after I saw that fine display.

I heard he had some other disciplinary issues earlier too, is that right?

i was laughin when i saw him reacting to the crowd like he did..
he wouldn't last a second if he ever made it to the NFL being that sensitive!

Yeah, I just read that Blout had been suspended in February for "failing to fulfill team obligations" and missed the off-season team meetings.

I also read that he had eight carries for a loss of five yards in the game - it probably didn't take much to set him off.

As before, I hope the NCAA makes an example out of him. To their credit, Oregon University's president made a strong statement and called the behavior "reprehensible."

Well, that definitely sends a message.

For those that may have missed it, here's a three-minute YouTube video that shows the sucker-punch and the following controversy - click here

My ears were ringing today… I thought it was my blood pressure… here it was X-Man talk’n college football!!!

OSU big game this year is early, Sept 12th… and at the Shoe this year! I believe SHACOS has an interest in this game as well???

VS.

Didn't see where NCAA handed down a full yr suspension... ouch. Great message... dumb punch!!!

EDIT: I assumed NCAA/PAC10 handed down the season ending suspension… WRONG… Oregon issued that on their own starting RB! Holy Cow!

Philadelphia - Mayor's bowl last night - Villanova over Temple. Wildcats on top!!!!
And of course we have the hard charging Phillies and Puppy Dog Vick to cheer on. But everyone knows he is bankrupt, in need of money so he is remorseful.
