Default GM and Chrysler to meet with NADA on 09/30/09

Automotive News is reporting that GM and Chrysler will be meeting with the NADA on 09/30/09 in an effort to reach a settlement that would end the Dealers' Rights legislation that is moving forward in the Senate.

It's unclear to me if the meetings will include representatives from the Committee to Restore Dealers' Rights?

It's very clear, however, that both GM and Chrysler would prefer to work with the NADA exclusively. It makes me question the effectiveness of the NADA if both GM and Chrysler are so eager for them to negotiate on behalf of the rejected dealers.

Two members from the comitee will be there. From what I understand it will be Jack Fitzgerald and Tammy Darvish. This was critical that the CRDR have representation at the meeting.

To correct my earlier post. There is a third person who will be there to support the effort. Allan Spitzer will also be there.

okcarl - Thanks for the information, that's great news.

It's good to know that there will be at least three people in the room who understand the issues that the OLDCO dealers face and have the fortitude to seek reasonable concessions out of GM and Chrysler.
