I do have to give it to them they are trying to jump start sales.

More of the "same old, same old". Old habits are hard to break!

I had a conversation with a Chrysler dealer last Friday and we addressed this same issue. We both agreed that Auburn Hills did a FANTASTIC job improving their car line between the 2010 and 2011 model year. As an example, the improvements they made to the Jeep Compass were nothing short of extraordinary.

That said, there's been almost ZERO improvement from Auburn Hills in terms of Sales and Marketing. Chrysler continues to dust-off old ideas and bring them back to market.

To be clear, there's nothing wrong with an old idea if it's worked in the past and the dealers feel it will work again. The frustration is watching Auburn Hills bring back programs that failed in the past and are virtually certain to fail again - e.g. Minivan Challenge, Targeted Direct Mail, The Premiere Event, etc.
