One always needs to consider the size of the wallet of the party to which one needs to grapple. In this case, there is nobody with oversight to say "enough", so the defendants just keep dragging it along, (unlike the plaintiffs, who see the $$$$ going out the door).

Here is a government reform long overdue...authority to say one word to a junior employee---"SETTLE".

Amazing a complete change of political party does not faze anything in the government legal system.

This is a GREAT place where the "swamp" could be drained.

I had a little time today so I thought I would re-visit this thread. WELL over a year ago we were getting to the depositions. All I can say is WOW. My annual toast is just over 2 weeks away........9 years! WOW.

To really let this sink in and see how GOD DAMN ridiculous this is, look back at the first post and take note of the date.

Where are my blood pressure pills?

Please do not think some of membership of the elite group of screwed dealers are not continuing to read the posts. The arbitrations were set up to screw we few who could afford the costs of going forward with arbitration. This suit is set up by the system, to frustrate the legitimate rights of the wronged who had not been "coerced" to waiving their right to sue. Good luck to those who are still hanging in there. I pray the finality is a huge pot of $$ to split.

AIG and Hank Greenberg had their day in court years ago. Not sure how this could not have? I mean they sued the government too.

Just checked the Court of Federal Claims docket sheet. The government is still trying to remove the General Motors dealers from the case. Fact discovery ends July 6, 2018. Expert witness reports next. All discovery ends Nov 21, 2018, Start of trial scheduled for March 4, 2019.

Thanks for the info! Hard to believe almost a decade has passed when the trial MIGHT start.

There could be delays, discoveries, and request, that could stall things another decade. I happened to see Jim Press on CNBC this morning, and I was just glad breakfast was over.

Oh I'm sure there will be. Lots of them. Just trying to keep this dialog going. Even though I'm part of the lawsuit the amount of info is not good. Would it kill them to send an e-mail once in a while?

ORDER granting 356 Motion for Extension of Time Plaintiffs shall file their expert reports by 8/14/2018. Government shall file its expert reports by 9/14/2018. Parties shall exchange their expert rebuttal reports by 10/16/2018. Parties shall complete the deposition of their experts by 11/21/2018. Signed by Senior Judge Nancy B. Firestone.
