Default "Drive One" - Ford's new advertising slogan

There's a great story in the Wall Street Journal that reviews Ford's new advertising campaign and evaluates the effectiveness of past campaigns.

The story indicated that Ford has involved their Dealer Network in the development of the new "Drive One" slogan and hopes to mimic Nike's success with their "Just do it" slogan.

Have the dealers been involved? What do you think about the new marketing effort?

I think their slogan should be "Like It?" because they're offerings haven't been that pretty over the last few years. The Taurus X? Come on!

I'd agree. With the exception of the Mustang, Ford has had limited success with their product launches. Hopefully they'll do well with the 2009 F-150.

I noticed that a lot of Ford's new product in the pipeline is coming from Europe.

It will be interesting to see if gasoline prices are still high when the new cars are launched. There are some people in the oil market that think prices will fall once China's economy starts to slow down. Time will tell.
