Chrysler to become first OEM to offer in-car TV
While I don't know if it will equate to big volumes, Chrysler received some welcome positive press today when they announced they will be the first OEM to offer in-car television.
 The option is available as a Mopar Accessory and can be added to vehicles with an existing DVD Entertainment System. Mopar indicates the cost of the system is $629 plus installation and includes a full year of service. After the first year, a monthly $9 subscription will be required. The system will only work in metro markets because it operates on radio-waves, not satellite. I know Sirius was working on in-car TV several years ago but nothing has materialized. Audiovox is offering a similar unit soon too.
Chrysler probably got it from them. wish they'd invest as much in some cars people would want to put it in...
