Update: so far so good, our warranty percentage has increased by 10%, and we have not had any unforeseen "ramifications" so far from GM or Hyundai.

There are many myths about taking advantage of the new state laws that entitle dealers to apply for retail reimbursement for warranty parts and labor. The primary myth is about retaliation. The reality is there is no retaliation. The statutes prohibit it in most states. We have done over 1000 of these for dealers and not a single one has reported any retaliatory conduct. There is no excuse for any dealer not to seek retail. 40 states now have retail friendly statutes.
