Have you considered PostalPete.com?

The website is connected to a Jeep dealer who specializes in RHD vehicles - he claims to have 150 (new and used) in stock and has a picture to prove it. Here's a link to the website - click here

I doubt there are too many other dealers that carry an inventory of RHD Jeeps.

My bet is they're underwriting their own plans and using a Service Contract Administrator to do all the paperwork.

As a side note, I think it's amazing there's enough business to warrant keeping 150 RHD vehicles in inventory. I'd also be willing to bet that the Post Office will be just a shadow of its former self in 20 years.

I have talked to Postal Pete and that is where I usally get one just thought I would throw it out there and maybe someone closer had one and wanted to get rid of it. You are pretty much on about the service contracts.

Default RHD Jeep Wrangler at Copart

I thought of this thread when I saw a RHD Wrangler at Copart.

I doubt the listing will be active for long, but here's the link - click here

To me the Jeep seemed pretty cheap: 2006 Clear Title, No Damage, 46K miles - Current bid = $8600

I often thought it would be cool to buy an old RHD XJ just to drive around but this Wrangler would probably be even more fun.

We had a RHD Cherokee I had to get from another dealer, I got to pick it up.......backing through the drive thru's was the most fun.......great reaction from the Micky D's workers!

Backing through the drive-thru - that's an inventive solution.

I always thought it would be fun to take a kid through the drive-thru in a RHD vehicle and have him/her place the order.

And they're not much fun to try and pass another car because you have to stick most of the car into the other lane to see oncoming traffic. I've got 2 '08's with mileage in the 50's but have no new ones. Also, i've heard the US Postal Service will close 3700 underperforming offices, and that their top 2 customers are Mastercard and Visa...

I just read that the U.S. Postal Service lost $3.1 Billion in their last three month reporting period - that's over a $1 Billion per month. Here's the link to the news report - click here

The report also confirmed your belief that the Postal Service is investigating closing as many as 3,700 of its 32,000 Post Offices.

Frankly, if they're losing that much money maybe they should investigate closing 50% of their Post Offices and drop the current six-days a week mail service to three-days a week - Monday/Wednesday/Friday.

Well, the RHD Wrangler didn't sell at $8,600 and it's up for auction again on 08/09/11.

Apparently there's no love for the RHD Wrangler - it's back for sale on 08/16/11 - click here

A new report today indicates the US Postal Service is investigating laying off as many as 120,000 employees - about 25% of their current workforce. Here's a link to the report - click here

Maybe the demand for RHD vehicles will follow the same supply/demand curve.

The other issue with them is that there is no NADA book value, so banks don't like 'em.

Interesting - I didn't know that.

Difficulty financing the vehicle would certainly cut the market price and cause a dealer to think twice before adding a RHD vehicle to his/her used car inventory.
