Default 2008 town and country mini van

We had a 08 town and country van in stock that was loaded out with dual dvd players and the works.Had a extra friend that wanted to go to the beach with us so i decided to drive the van.Turns out u CANNOT get that damn remote wet.I had the remote in our boat that got splashed so i spent the rest of the evening taking apart the remote and drying it out lesson learned

I wouldn't place too much blame on Chrysler - I don't think too many DVD remotes would stand up to the "splash test."

Well I hope you had a good time out on your boat anyways.....

On a somewhat related note, I've noticed that Asian markets seem to place a premium on having their smartphones be waterproof or water resistant. I have no idea why a water resistant phone would be of interest to Asian customers but it seems like many of the high end phones sold in Asia have this feature.

Oh, now I understand.....

I don't think I've ever heard of that problem before - if it would have happened to me I'd have been angry too.

Back when I had my SeaDoo I used to get my Jeep keys wet all the time. Granted, the keys for my TJ don't have a security chip but what do the people with newer vehicles do?

Is it possible you're not supposed to get the new style keys wet or was there something defective with the key you had for the 2008 Town and Country?

I did a quick Google search and found a number of examples where people were left stranded after they got their keys wet.

I was never a big fan of the integrated key/remote - mostly because I never liked having a key that big in my front pocket. Now I have another reason not to like the integrated key/remote.
