Have Monday marked on the calendar. Open 9-3 in sales on Memorial day.

NO Clue on the JULY 4th Holiday....But for Monday Memorial Day will be closed. Never worked a Memorial Day in 3 Years, and a Christmas Eve as well

We will be open on Memorial day. Since we only opened 5 weeks ago, and after the financial beating we took when Chrysler yanked us, we have to be open. A year later and Chrysler now cheated me out of a day I used to be off!

You can get even with them by selling a couple of KIAs to your former long-time Chrysler customers.

That is already happening. They love that you can lease them affordably and love the vehicles.

Getting ready for a 3 1/2 day week-end for Memorial Day. Boss had a sales contest at the beining of the month that we've already blown the doors off of. We will be here Friday till 2 and do not return till Tuesday morning for Memorial Day. As for the 4th of July, we will be closed on Monday.

X-Man - Can we delete this thread??? Closed... yeah right. Thank goodness PA dealers still recognize Sunday Blue laws.

Just Jealous.

That's awesome - props to your boss for coming up with a great incentive. That's a "win-win" deal for everyone.

There are a lot of dealers who subscribe to the theory that the longer you're open the more cars you're going to sell.

Who knows, maybe your owner would go for a sales contest like zophy's owner did?

Doesn't it all depend on your market? If your compatition is open and you aren't you will probably loose sales. Conversely, if you are open and your compatition is not, you should pick up sales. Thank God that in PA the Blue Laws prohibit car sales on Sundays so we have some time off.

At our dealership, the employees that work on Holidays get an additional vacation day that they can use whenever. And we always have a reduced staffing level for those days.

Works pretty well.

About the same here... guy's pick and split Mem. Day & Labor Day holidays, they square-up amongst themselves on the schedule and we're open 9 to 4. July 4th (same hrs) is a swap for a full day off.
