Default Im Back

Well after a 5 year hiatus working for Lotus Cars USA. I am back in the dealership fold. I am in Portland Oregon working for the Tonkin organization at their Ferrari/Maserati dealership. I know its a little out of the wheelhouse of most of the discussions here but I do love to keep up on the other brands and the business as a whole. I was one of the first members on this site back when it started and have followed it as time has gone on. Anyway i am glad to be back....well at least I thinkk so for now.

Welcome back.

The forum's been super slow lately and that's mostly my fault because I haven't been adding too much content because I've been tied up with other projects.

When I get a chance I'll add some more content to the forum and I'll change your profile as you requested in your PM.

Welcome back! Speaking of Lotus, is the impending change of airbag regulations going to result in a Lotus retreat from the US market? I don't follow it that closely but thought I read something to that effect in the last few years?

All I can say is the problems run deep.... The current Evora can no longer be imported as of March of this year.. And a replacement is a long way off and the regulations that the car can't meet keep stacking up..

Just a bad situation. I grew up in the Detroit area right down the road from what is today Auto Europe Lotus. I know they run a pretty tight operation and have obviously relied greatly on used cars anyhow, so hopefully things stay looking up for them.
