Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving . . Okay, I know this thread is a day late but it's still Thanksgiving weekend and I was in Laughlin for most of yesterday and didn't want to try and create this thread on my smartphone. I hope everyone enjoys a great Thanksgiving weekend with their family and has an opportunity to reflect on those things they're thankful for. . For those who are working today, I hope that all of the "Black Friday" advertising all of the OEMs have been doing makes today a profitable day.

I wasn't at the store, but it appears that the big "Black Friday" push -- primarily advertised by General Motors at the tier 1 level, at least in the Midwest did help... we retailed 6 new and 3 used yesterday... versus our normal Friday average of 7 total.

I saw a lot of TV commercials by the OEMs while I was watching football this weekend. I smiled every time I saw a 20% off MSRP ad - it's no wonder that customers still think that dealers have $4,000 - $5,000 in margin between invoice and MSRP. |
