Any one being harassed about buying parts only from Nissan ?

Nissan1 - First post, Welcome to DealershipForum.

While we don't have too many Nissan Dealers on the forum we have a fair number of Parts Managers and it seems that all of the OEMs pressure their dealers to buy parts only from the factory. With some OEMs they primarily use a carrot and with other OEMs they prefer a stick but in almost every case there's some type of incentive for a dealer to limit their outside purchases.

From what I've heard, Nissan is one of the more demanding OEMs so it wouldn't surprise me to learn they're pressuring their dealers to limit the purchase of non-factory parts.

Can you elaborate on the type of pressure you're receiving?
