KansasStateCars.com - $2.6 Million Pledge to KSU
In another example of how dealers are shifting their marketing dollars away from traditional media, a Kansas Dealer Group has established KansasStateCars.com.
While Internet Marketing is nothing new, what makes this site innovative is their association with Kansas State University and their pledge to contribute $2.6 Million to the University over the next ten years. To me, this is an excellent example of how dealership marketing has evolved over the past ten years. The first phase was to move marketing dollars away from print and toward "Lead Providers" like Autobytel, AutoTrader, etc. The most recent phase seems to have dealers moving their marketing dollars away from the "Lead Providers" and investing those funds into their own websites.
