Minority Program Information
Can anyone here shed some light on how the Minority Program works with franchise points? Or possibly point me in the right direction to gather some more information on the program?
Mostly looking for information on: 1. Financial requirements 2. Experience requirements 3. Reference requirements And just general information to help. I appreciate any and all information. |

Pretty open.
I have experience with Nissan, Mazda, GMC, Buick and Hyundai. But open to any option available. |

All the above are pretty basic stuff. Looking up a zone office close to you may be your next step. Call and inquire with them.
Good Luck! |

Great information about GM's program
Here's a link with great information concerning GM's program - click here
I just quickly scanned through the requirements and thought it was interesting that GM's looking for $350K in cash or 20% of the required capital to run the dealership - whichever is greater. I also thought it was interesting that GM had a structure in place to allocate any losses the dealership may incur. GM and the prospective Dealer would split the losses 50/50 for the first $400K in losses and after that 100% of the losses would come out of the prospective Dealer's investment. |

Thanks for the links!
That last link from GM looks pretty interesting. I wonder how tough their vetting is for candidates? I have been looking into alternative financing options in order to get started on owning my own franchise point. I came into a bit of capital but no where near enough for the total cost. So have been looking into what options I may have |
