Default New Hondas damaged by Hurricane Sandy sold by Insurance Auto Auction

Insurance Auto Auction and ADESA sold off 250+ new Hondas in New Jersey that had been damaged during the floods associated with Hurricane Sandy.

I watched the auction online and thought the prices seemed pretty cheap. Granted, it's possible the vehicles were exposed to salt water, they'll require extensive cleaning and reconditioning and they'll need to be sold with branded titles. That said, based on the pictures that were available the vehicles looked like they were in good condition - most of them still had the plastic covering to the hood/roof/trunk that's applied at the factory.

The prices were approximately 35 - 50% of Invoice and it seemed like 100% of them sold - the vehicles were not be held over for a higher price.

Here's an example of a 2013 Honda Accord that sold for $10,250 plus fees:
