Default Chrysler to offer in-car Internet access

Chrysler announced that it will offer an option to add wi-fi Internet access to its cars via an option through the Mopar Parts Division. There are plans to make the package a factory option later this year.

The Mopar package can be installed on existing vehicles and will create a wi-fi zone around the vehicle allowing occupants to surf the Internet while driving. The technology will require that the customer have a cell phone account. Pricing information was not released.
