Alfa Romeo brand in the U.S.?
“May use Maserati’s dealer network to bolster Alfa Romeo’s premium positioning”
“Alfa Romeo is 190,000 cars short of an annual target of 300,000 to make money” “Estimates that Alfa Romeo is losing 300 million euros to 400 million euros a year” http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?p...v90YrFo&pos=14 |

190,000 cars short?!?! And Fiat thinks they'll get a boost to that number through the US market? Seems like a long shot to me.

Just getting caught up and read this thread.
How is it possible to be 190,000 units short of a 300,000 objective - that means they need to almost triple their sales performance to reach their objective. Concerning Alfa's return to the U.S., I recall Marchionne said during the eight hour revealing of "the plan" that Alfa would not come to the U.S. if he felt it would impact the sales of Chrysler and Dodge passenger cars. I wonder if that's the same message he conveys to the Fiat shareholders who pay his salary? Last edited by XDCX; 03-03-2010 at 01:52 PM. Reason: Changed "FIAT" to "Fiat" - Don't know why I capitalized it the first time? |
