Ok..
Can't help much with R+R, it's the one DMS I have no experience with.
Here's some things you need to look at; Get on dealerworld and see how much Return Reserve you have. Anything that was left on the table at the end of Feb should be coming to you as a credit- don't apply it to 687!! You're going to need that to cover inventory shortages. The money that's accruing now, you need to make a plan on what needs to go 1st- are you tight on space? Send back large items 1st. Got plenty of room, send back the oldest 1st before it's not returnable. Hopefully you can find a good balance. How's your RIM stocking and loyalty numbers? Take advantage of the Fleet pack filter orders. G_0000181013 is the bulletin you need to look at. Clean up your cores if you havn't already. Put policies in place on special orders, employee discounts, ect and have the dealer sign off on them. Now is the time to try to make changes- don't let the tired old phrase "That's how it's always been done" stop you. Find ways to improve yourself and your department. Lastly- don't work 24/7. Take time off and let your brain rest. Leave the property at lunch every day if possible and take that time to read a book, talk to a friend, or something other than worry about work. |

One more thing........
You've been around a while?
Don't let the recall's get to you, OR let them get out of hand. Order parts for OPEN RO's only, and try to get a good routine going on how you order, reciept, ect. Pull key codes when the parts arrive, but DO NOT cut keys until the vehicle in on your property!!! No matter what GM advises!!! Because I seriously doubt they will pay for those cut keys/ coded cylinder if you don't do the work. |
