Toyota faces "Diminished Value" Class Action Lawsuits
You knew it had to happen, America's Class Action Attorneys smell blood in the water and they're working to file "Diminished Value" cases against Toyota.
The theory is that people who own Toyota vehicles have been impacted by the lower trade values so they're entitled to compensation. In my experience, it seems the attorneys are the only big winners in these cases. According to a report in Automotive News, Ford has been down this path once before and settled a class action case involving the Firestone/Explorer problem by issuing $500 vouchers to certain customers. |

Why people fall for **** like this is beyond my ability to comprehend. I always thought Toyo buyers did a LOT of research and were saavy shoppers by definition ABOVE AVERAGE people. If so, why would they fall for this game? Bragging rights? It sure isn't worth the effort IMHO.

Class action suits benefit only the attorneys who file them. While most attorneys are scum the attorney who file class action suits are the icky stuff below the scum.

This parallels getting into a brawl in grade school. Nobody truly 'wins' anything however the crowd gets GREAT pleasure watching the scuffle. What a pathetic waste of time.
