Default Mercedes sales were up 2.2% for 2007

Although December was a soft month for the brand's U.S. sales, Mercedes reported that total unit volume for 2007 was up 2.2% from 2006 levels. Mercedes reported that 253,433 units were sold in 2007.

For the month of December, strong sales of the revised C-Class helped offset sales declines for both the E-Class and S-Class sedans.
