Thanks for posting the link - those are the best spy-shots I've seen so far of the vehicle that's destined to replace the Caliber.
Overall, I like the look of the car - especially the front end styling. I'm still not sold on Fiat's powertrain engineering based on the horsepower and fuel economy ratings the Fiat 500 achieve. That said, I'll try to keep an open mind and evaluate this new vehicle on its individual merits. |

A post from three years ago.....
I was searching the forum for a picture of the Dodge Hornet and found this post that's now over three years old - click here
That was back in the early days of the Cerberus deal when Jim Press was still highly regarded and expectations were sky high. It's sobering to think how long the Chrysler dealers have been starved for a decent small car and how many times their hopes were built-up and then crushed. On a side note, given that the Dodge Hornet was a Concept Car back in 2006, I still think it looks pretty good and believe that it would have been a huge seller if Chrysler had done a technology swap with Nissan back in 2008. As before, it's all water under the bridge..... |

Huge improvement over the Alfa Gulietta styling
In my opinion the styling of the 2013 Dodge ? is a huge improvement over the front end of the Alfa Romeo Gulietta.
Here's a picture of the Gulietta: |

Rumors suggest the vehicle may be named as a Dodge Hornet. |

If the final product looks like the photo, I think Dodge has a potential winner!

Wow, that's true. I kind of forgot about the Hudson version of the Hornet but I still remember the AMC version.
While I liked the Hornet name for the original concept car back in 2006, I'm not sure it fits with the re-styled Alfa. I wonder what other names Chrysler has in mind? |

Interesting - care to share more details?
We can make this an AREA 51 thread if you'd rather keep the details hidden from the public. (I noticed you don't have access to AREA 51 but that can be rectified. ) As a side note, one of our members reported in an AREA 51 thread the the local BC Managers showed the dealers a picture similar to the one in this thread at a Go To Market Meeting and told them that's what the new car's going to look like. |
