Default Chrysler to resume payment for a full tank of fuel

In an effort repair damaged Factory/Dealer relations, Chrysler LLC announced that it will resume its policy of reimbursing dealerships to fill a new car customer's vehicle with fuel at the time of delivery.

Chrysler suspended the fuel fill reimbursement plan several years ago during a wave of cost-cutting efforts. Many dealers had complained that this was just another example of Chrysler's "cost-shifting" to the dealers.

The policy change is scheduled to take place on March 1, 2008.
