Default Chrysler got 1 Billion from Canada???

Had not heard of this one before. Wouldn't surprise me though. I'm going to have to look into this a little more.

Did anybody else hear this before?

No, but also, the article writer did not due his bankruptcy research either. New Chrysler was formed by US govt inside the bankruptcy court where it, the govnt, spun out the assets and dealer contracts; while old Chrysler kept the debts. The loan from the US govnt to Old Chrysler is what gave the US the power as the lead debtor in possession with the power to make the spin. More to it than that...but here we are today.
