And so the UAW was "saved", and the Bondholders, Dealers, and Taxpayers get screwed.

Note to self: If customer comes in complaining about rattle in doors, be sure to check for bottle caps and roach clips.

Sad, really sad. This could really hurt the perceived quality of the new Grand Cherokee if this hits the national airwaves.

Default You know the best part is...

These guys won't get fired. Their rights to privacy have been violated...

This speaks volumes about a company and unfortunately our culture. I needed a good laugh today. This is excellent.

Truly sad and depressing.

One more thing to make me feel good about being a Chrysler dealer.

I dropped my roach in my lap and almost spilled my beer laughing here at the store at lunch, when I read this on Fox website.

On a more serious note, this cannot be the first time the management of this plant heard about this stuff, cause informants had to go to the press to get something done about it. When you have guaranteed free money for life...benefits up the wazoo...this is what you "breed." Entitled people who are beyond the control of white collar management...might I say, Union employees...they can do what they want pretty much without consequences.

Funny story, the Seabrook Nuclear Power plant here in NH, when it was being built, a few of my ancient high school friends worked there...or...got paychecks from there. They had to join the union, night shift in the tunnels consisted of a guy on lookout to bang the pipes when someone was coming...and cases of beer, weed, cocaine, spirits all night long. They worked one or two days a week and were paid for about 60 hours. It's a wonder the plant hasn't melted down by now. They fudged weld inspections, and almost everyone was obliterated for their entire work career at Seabrook. No one cared, everyone was paid zillions and not many ever worked. great system...protect the poor workers who are so poorly treated by their white collar, civilian slavemasters. Ugh

I just watched the video and liked the portion where the reporter confronted the UAW employees - "Hey guys, I don't want to be a buzz-kill but shouldn't you be making some cars?"

While I know it's only a dozen or so workers out of a plant that employs 2,300, I also find it hard to believe that someone in management didn't know it was happening.

My bet is the UAW saves their jobs and the whole thing is swept under the carpet.

This is now the lead story on AutoBlog. AutoBlog cycles their stories often... but this will still be on their front-page for at least a day. Lets hope it doesn't gain additional momentum!!!

Hopefully the story will die off in the next day or two but I noticed it was the top story on Google when I searched for "Chrysler" earlier today. (There were 160 different media sources that were reporting the story.)
