Power CJ and Power Dodge consolidate in Valencia

In what was probably one of the easiest Project Genesis consolidations, news reports indicate that Power Chrysler/Jeep will close their operations and consolidate with Power Dodge.

Both stores are located in Valencia and both are owned by AutoNation.

The local AutoNation Manager indicated that the move was 100% positive and will allow the dealership to better serve the community. He may have taken the "spin" a step too far when he described Valencia Dodge as one of the "top-selling" Dodge Dealerships in Southern California - according to the sales report that I saw, Valencia Dodge only sold 28 units in July.

Not exactly the level of performance you'd expect from a "top-selling" dealership.

I guess that there's nothing wrong with trying to place your dealership in the most positive light, but to suggest that you're a "Top Selling" store when you're moving 28 units seems like a stretch.
