Will your CJDR Dealership keep MarketMaster for $100/month?

Chrysler recently launched a new Sales Tracking Tool in DealerConnect called MarketMaster. MarketMaster is available to all CJDR dealers for free during an initial trial period and then transitions to a $100/month charge unless a dealer opts-out of the program.

The $100/month charge for MarketMaster starts October 1st and will be billed to your Dealer Account.

Do you plan to use MarketMaster and pay the $100/month fee or do you plan to opt-out? Please take our poll and share your thoughts.

I think it might be more of a benefit in bigger cities. A complete state cross-sell report is about the same cost.

I've been messing with it for a couple days, seems like it's something you'd refer to once a quarter... maybe. For $1,200 a yr... we may pass.

Default Featured thread on DealershipForum

I think this is an important thread and I'm betting that the vast majority of the Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram dealers have no idea that they're going to be charged $100/month for MarketMaster.

I've highlighted this thread on the Home Screen of DealershipForum and I'll include this topic in an email broadcast I plan to do later this week.

Maybe $100/month is a non-issue for most CJDR dealers, but given that $100 represents the dealer margin on about four Dart SE sales I think it warrants further attention.

I agree with CL. This info is valuable about 4 times a year.
That said, your DM is in often enough and will have that info to share.
I think we'll save the $1200. for something else

Default Is Urban Science the vendor for MarketMaster?

Does anyone know if Urban Science is the vendor for Chrysler's MarketMaster sales analysis tool?

If so, it would be somewhat ironic because I'm pretty sure Chrysler used data from Urban Science in an effort to justify the OLDCO terminations when they were forced to go to arbitration.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm right....

Yes,
Urban Science is "branded" on the landing page of MarketMaster

Thanks - that's what I thought.

It took me awhile to find it, but I finally found the source I was thinking of when I associated Urban Science with the OLDCO terminations - it was from the SIGTARP Report.

Here's an excerpt:
Chrysler identified target locations using market analysis performed by Urban Science, a consulting group. The analysis compared the number of dealerships and corresponding sales to competitors in 1,712 markets across the United States.
Here's a link to the SIGTARP Report - click here (Downloads PDF File)

It reminds me of when I was a kid and I was shopping for my first Radar Detector. I learned that one of the major Radar Detector brands also supplied the police with their Radar units. I decided I didn't want my money going to a company that was supporting an objective I opposed and bought another brand.

Looks like I'm bringing an old one back to life! We have stuck with, but primarily only because our ASM never called me back about the process to drop it!

Thanks for reviving an old thread. (The reason I still keep this thread on the Home Page is I think most CJDR dealers are like you and they keep paying the monthly fee because they don't know how to drop out.)

Concerning dropping out of the MarketMaster program, the process is detailed in post #10 if you hadn't already noticed.

Well, four more months into it and I see the value for $100/month. Yes, the info is available from other sources, but MarketMaster organizes it well, and they keep adding functions.
