Single point Chrysler store closes down - merges with Dodge
News reports indicate that South Burlington Chrysler closed their doors yesterday and the franchise will be picked up by the local Dodge dealer, Goss Dodge.
While the closing of a Chrysler dealership is not that uncommon, the bigger question is how did South Burlington Chrysler manage to make it to the NEWCO list? Here's a link to the news report - click here |

Any idea how many more C-D-J stores have closed since the 789 were forced out. I know that they have also been adding new points as well. Is the new total number of dealers known? How many are still single points? I had heard that Project Genocide would be complete by Dec 2010.

I know there were a few that closed when GMAC pulled their flooring, but those reports seem to have stopped. Concerning Project Genesis, my bet is it's on the back-burner since Chrysler doesn't have any money to facilitate mergers and the NEWCO Dealer Agreement doesn't provide them with any extra power. |
