Chrysler issues procedures for processing Customer Sold Orders
I heard Chrysler recently sent their dealers the correct procedures for processing Customer Sold Orders.
Does this appear to be in response to the abuses that Automotive News reported GM's been experiencing or is this just a periodic reminder? Unless things have changed there was never an advantage to trying to "game" Chrysler's allocation system by submitting false sold orders - it never affected the dealer's allocation. That said, it would alter the priority of the vehicle order and I know the BC used to look at their order bank and would occasionally use their extra allocation and route it to dealers who had sold orders in the system but no allocation. Are some of Chrysler's dealers "gaming" the allocation system or is it a non-issue? |

It does not affect allocation, but it prioritizes an order to the top of a list. Sometimes the only way to get a "hot" vehicle.

Does anyone know if the BCs still get an extra allocation that they can distribute? In the old days the BCs always had an extra allocation that they could use for new dealers, sold orders and special promotions. |
