I don't know the market for Porsche 944's but that looks like a nice car. |

I replaced a blown fuse for the ABS system and that cleared two dash warning lights and I read codes and cleared an O2 Sensor code and that cleared the "Check Engine" warning light. The exhaust is actually louder on the Trans Am than it is on my Camaro and now I know the reason - the Trans Am has headers and someone has deleted the catalytic converters. That will make the vehicle more difficult to sell since the Phoenix and Tucson areas have emissions testing. The Trans Am actually runs pretty well - the only condition I've run into is the clutch pedal is slow to return on really hard acceleration. The clutch pedal comes back and feels normal after a few moments but it's somewhat unsettling to get ready for a spirited 1 - 2 shift and have the clutch pedal drop so far without any resistance. |

A "shade tree mechanic" is still a "shade tree mechanic"!

Concerning my Trans Am, I still own it but hope to find a new buyer in the next week or two. |

they are "priced like Porsche parts"! and the labor to install is priced like a Porsche, too!
Here is a lesson learned. |

I always try to remind myself when I see a car at auction that there's typically a reason why it's there. That said, I don't always follow my own advice. If I would have known my Trans Am was being sold by a Used Car Dealer I probably wouldn't have even bid on it. |
