That is incredible - your buy rate is almost 300 basis points higher than what a USAA member can get on their own.

Is money that tight for the Big 3?

On a different note, I guess we can't blame Cerberus for this rate increase.

Indirectly maybe we can blame Cerberus. After all without the changes to GMAC and CFC FMCC most likely would not have increased nearly as much.

Well that may not be so true of a statement FMCC is always high on std rate sheet previous best rate was 7.59% for 60 mos @ toer 0 &1, years ago they were the most agressive on the non subvented rates

WOW CFC previous rate sheet had A+ 740 FICO @ 5.29% x 60. I would have thought FMCC would have been similar.

It's funny, but I have heard so many good things about Ford Motor Credit over the years that I just assumed that they were still aggressive. Two weeks ago if you had asked me who had the better rate sheet, I would have bet big money on FMC.

The irony is that you're supposed to be able to depend on your captive when times get tight. That's why dealers were always told that they should be loyal in the good times so the captive will be there for them in the bad times.

Well, it's pretty bad right now and the captives are running for cover.

Default Have your cake & eat it too?

LOL...I am amazed at how we read these comments and you can tell the pros from the sos....... Ford's rates are high but if you work with them, they WILL buy good advances and work their programs....CPO is a very nice program and I am working with a small town dealer currently in the KC metro area and was #1 in CPO and ESP last month running $2500+/copy. It is all in the approach we take. ;-) Where I have seen the problems most recently is the cutback in advance by the lenders that DO have the rates......

Thanks for the information and I'm pleased to hear that you're doing well with Ford Motor Credit and the Certified Pre-Owned program.

You make a valid point concerning advance - the lowest rate in the world is worthless if you can't get enough money to fund the deal.

Good news for FORD FLOOR PLAN DEALERS, .75 point reduction through 12/15 to assist the "EMPLOYEE PLUS" program.
