Default Dealership Closed - Lia Kia - North Hampton, NY

In a story titled "Kia victim of Toyota expansion" a newspaper report details that another dealership has closed so that a Toyota Dealership could expand their operations.

In this instance, the Kia Dealership and the Toyota Dealership are owned by the Lia Auto Group.

It's worth noting that the original site of the Toyota Franchise was a Chrysler/Jeep Dealership that the Lia Auto Group purchased and then closed. This clearly fits with the trend that has been repeated across the county.

Toyota's decision not to add Dealerships appears to be brilliant. Their existing Dealers are very profitable and have the ability to grow their operations at the expense of other Franchises that are "over-dealered" for the market.
