Default How do you charge out oil?

How do you guys charge out your oil and atf, etc? I am talking about like 19293002 5w30 bulk and like 88862155 bulk atf...do you just bill it out under 19293000 and 88861037 in quart form and then just account the difference? I was just curious as that is how I have always done it but if you could give examples I would appreciate it, thanks

Dexos1 5w30 bulk is 19293003 (we are on the all discount option with no equipment money)
Dexos1 0W20 bulk is 19259487
Dextron 6 is 88862155

I no longer stock conventional oil in bulk. I wish I had 15W40 diesel oil in bulk instead of AFT....

We use the bulk part number, and divide the cost of that part # by 4. We then set the cost in our DMS. You also have to remember to set the update code to not update or at the start of the next month your oil inventory will skyrocket and the office manager will be looking for and explanation. Then anytime you receive bulk oil make any adjustments to the cost of that product.
GM does recognize the bulk part number broke down into qt. pricing for loyalty.

Just be careful, and periodically check the cost of any price update "N" items.

88864006b for bulk Dexos 0w20
Take the cost of 19293002, 88864006 divided by 4

Problems with using non-standard numbers - they count against you on the loyalty reports. Look carefully at that.

we have CDK for a DMS and in function PM you will tab down to under the ABCD: to where it has update: here you will input NU for no update, when your next update tapes run those parts with the NU in the update code will not change. But you need to make sure that you are aware of when you need to change the price because of price increases, or decreases.
If you want to take the no update off at some time you tab down to the update: and hit the delete key simple as that.
I'm not sure what the other DMS's have but I bet that they all have the same sort of a function.
