Default How many 2007 Mitsubishi Raiders are left?

I was surfing the Internet the other night and linked over to the Mitsubishi site to check out the Evo. I smiled when I saw that the Raider was listed only as a 2007 - there was no 2008 model available.

I had heard that the truck was stone cold, but I didn't know that Mitsubishi dropped it in 2008.

Is Mitsubishi stepping up with Dealer Incentives to help clear these units out?

Well, this post is almost a year old and I just realized I was wrong - Mitsubishi never killed the Raider.

Today's Automotive News indicated that Mitsubishi will drop the Raider when the contract with Chrysler expires in 2010.

According to the report, Mitsubishi sold fewer than 3,000 Raiders during 2008 and I bet a lot of those were deeply discounted 2007 models sold by dealers that swore they would never stock another one.

I just read on allpar that Mitsubishi just killed the Raider...big surprise...they sold 2,935 this year and that is down 64.5% from 2007. I have too much free time on my hands, between this site and allpar, I enjoy both of these sights, but I would much rather be selling some cars.

It's great to have you here, but I can certainly understand that you'd rather be swamped with customers.

Concerning Allpar.com, I agree that it's a great site for anyone that has an interest in Chrysler.

The Raider lives..... (Well, actually it never died.)

I just read in Automotive News that Chrysler built the last Mitsubishi Raider at the end of June - the vehicle is now officially dead.

In its five year life span, less than 23,000 Raiders were build and I bet half of them are still sitting in dealership inventory.

See, if Mitsubishi had only offered these trucks through the wholesale / auction market, it would have been a totally different story for the ol' Raider.

I had a dealer tell me the same thing about the Eagle Vision years ago. He said he couldn't sell a new one if his life depended on it, but they made fantastic used cars.
