Unhappy Culpepper Ford

So sad to see small stores go away. Part of our culture that will be gone forever.

I'm somewhat surprised there's not a buyer for a store like the one featured in the report you linked.

Ford's a strong franchise and I've known dealers who got their start by buying into a dealership in a rural market and then expanding their empire from there. I could understand why new car stores were closing in 2008 and 2009 but the market has definitely improved - especially for a Ford store.

I wonder if the owner of Culpepper Ford ever contacted a broker to see if there was an option to sell his store instead of closing it down?
