Someone in the Hyundai marketing department needs a raise

I love it! What a great way to keep customers within the brand. But, could it also scare away those who don't want to commit? What do you think? |

This program should help bring in late model Hyundai as trade ins, years ago HMA wasthe first to offer additional rebate of $1000 on a Hyundai being traded toward a new vehicle purchase. The hook was then the car had to have been purchased new and traded by the original owner verified by DCS service records. I see this move as a way to get late model trades with lower miles for retail as CPO, as well as build a higher book value for the product.

It sounds like a pro-dealer move, pushing better product to the used market. Maybe I'm missing something in the weeds.
On a side note, my favorite ex-Lithia employee just opened up a Kia store in Abilene, TX. He's a Chrysler guy through and through opening up a Kia store. Yes, hell has frozen over. |
