AREA 51 Testing this Weekend

This thread is intended for ALL members of DealershipForum

In response to last month's Security Advisory DealershipForum is in the process of making changes that will limit access to AREA 51 to approved members only.

As a result, most members will not have access to AREA 51 while tests are underway this weekend. Another thread discussing the process for gaining access to AREA 51 will be posted once testing is complete.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to add them to this thread.

Hey, it works....

If a member's User Name is Black then you know they have access to AREA 51.

While we're still working on a couple of minor issues we've made progress and locked-down AREA 51.

I'm looking for input on what should be required to gain access to AREA 51 - this is what I'm thinking about so far:

• Member provides their real name
• Member can respond to an e-mail sent to a dealership address
• Member has at least 25 posts
• Member knows someone who has access to AREA 51 who will vouch for them

None of this is written in stone and I'm open to any ideas or suggestions - you can add them to this thread or send me a PM.

Hehehe..I'll only be able to respond to a dealership address for another week or so...then it's key in the door and coming to work in cargo shorts and shoveling 28 years of crap into a dumpster for a few weeks.

I like the rest of the ideas.

The only reason you're still blue is because the last name you entered when you originally registered is only one letter long....
