Default Nissan outsells Honda for first three month of 2015 - Honda VP responds

Apparently Nissan has been making a fair amount of noise about outselling Honda for the first three months of 2015 and Honda's Senior VP of Automotive Operations in the U.S., John Mendel, has responded.

According to a report in The Detroit News, Mendel charges that Nissan has been juicing their sales by encouraging dealers to add new cars to their in-dealership rental fleets and record the vehicles as sold.

Here's an excerpt from the news report:
"They have a whole systematic group of people who go into the dealers on the 20th of the month based on what Nissan needs to beat Honda and forces the dealer to put an additional 10 or 15 rental cars in service."
