I agree, great post.

The double-standard the auto companies have been subjected to is frustrating. The article makes an excellent point that it's easy for the politicians and press to beat-up the auto companies because it's a business the American public understands.

By contrast, most Americans don't understand the root cause of the financial melt-down so you get more votes and sell more newspapers by beating on the auto companies.

I don't hold much hope that the slant is going to change anytime soon.

That article is so on the money..
My thoughts exactly as everything went down..

Wall street gets zero oversight, while Detroit gets micromanaged..
for a fraction of the bailout!!
