Default Ford's 2015 F-150 Super Crew scores Five Star NHTSA rating

In a report that's sure to please both Ford Motor Company and their dealers, the Federal Government's NHTSA indicated that the 2015 Ford F-150 Super Crew scored a Five Star crash rating. For a link to the full report - click here

The rating may be particularly significant for the new F-150 because Ford has used a significant amount of aluminum in the construction of the vehicle to save weight but Ford's competitors have been suggesting with their advertising that steel is better suited for a truck.

Interestingly, GM's latest offering in the pickup segment, the steel bodied Chevrolet Colorado, only scored a Four Star NHTSA rating.
